Support democracy reforms, including public matching funds system for congressional campaigns, automatic voter registration, independent redistricting commissions, and strengthened ethics and campaign finance laws.
Support restoring the voting rights protections previously included in the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
Support democracy reforms to protect voting rights and strengthen election security, including support for provisions to override voter suppression laws in the states.
Support strengthening of government ethics legislation.
Support legislation to restore the governments system of checks and balances, strengthen accountability and transparency, and protect Americas elections from foreign interference.
Support the DISCLOSE Act (S. 512 / H.R. 1118), to combat the flood of special-interest spending in politics and require additional disclosure requirements for corporations, labor organizations, Super PACs, and other entities.
Support the Sustaining Our Democracy Act (S. 630) to provide federal funding to help state and local governments support election administration, secure election infrastructure, provide resources for training and recruiting nonpartisan poll workers and election officials, protect election officials from threats against them in the course of their work administering federal elections; and increase access to voting in federal elections for underserved communities, voters with disabilities, racial and language minority groups, military and overseas voters, and voters in Indian lands.
Support legislation that would: ban Members of Congress from owning or trading individual stocks, bonds, commodities, and other similar financial instruments; require stocks and similar investments either be sold, transferred into widely diversified mutual funds, or placed in genuine blind trusts; extend the ban to Members spouses and dependent children; and provide an effective enforcement mechanism to ensure compliance.
Support Senate action to report and pass an ethics code for the Supreme Court.
Support the Washington, DC Admission Act, to make Washington, DC a state (H.R. 51).
Support efforts to encourage executive departments and federal agencies to fully implement President Bidens Executive Order Promoting Access to Voting.
Support codifying the Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE) and provide OCE with subpoena authority and oppose efforts to gut the office.
Support a House Ethics investigation into the activities of Representative George Santos (R-NY).
Support updating Executive Order 13526 - Classified National Security Information" - regarding the proper handling of materials during the tenure of the President and Vice President, both at the White House and off campus, to ensure none are inadvertently left behind at the end of a term and help prevent future document mishandling by Presidents and Vice Presidents.
