Mental Health Reform Legislation - encouraging passage of comprehensive mental health reform that addresses 42 CFR Part 2, expansion of telehealth, parity implementation without going too far in adding increased parity requirements. Specific bills lobbied on include S. 2680, the Mental Health Reform Act of 2016; H.R. 2646, the Helping Families in Mental Health Crisis Act; S. 1945, the Mental Health Reform Act; S. 1893, the Mental Health Awareness and Improvement Act.
42 CFR Part 2 - advocating to align 42 CFR Part 2 (substance use privacy regulations) with HIPAA to allow appropriate access to patient information that is essential for providing whole-person care.
Behavioral Health Information Technology, extending health information technology assistance eligibility to more mental health and substance use disorder professionals and facilities.
