Worked to enact Federal Aviation Administration authorization legislation that ensures the highest levels of safety, improves oversight of repair stations, and does not unnecessarily undermine the competitiveness of the contract maintenance industry.
Opposed amendments to H.R. 568 during Transportation & Infrastructure Committee consideration that would have mandated drug and alcohol testing at foreign repair stations by Department of Transportation-certified labs without regard to the laws of the country where the repair stations is located and mandatory biannual inspections of foreign repair stations agreements.
Lobbied against the adoption of an amendment to H.R. 568, which would have created a redundant requirement for criminal background investigations of part 145 repair station employees, hindering job creation and growth with no real benefit to flight safety.
Opposed an amendment to S. 223 that would have mandated drug and alcohol testing at foreign repair stations by Department of Transportation-certified labs without regard to the laws of the country where the repair stations is located.
Urged Congress to end the ban against the issuance of new foreign repair station certificates by the Federal Aviation Administration.

Lobbied to delay implementation and full repeal of the three percent government contractor withholding tax (S. 89/S. 164/H.R. 674).
