Proposals to restrict states use of provider taxes -Promoted H.R. 1250, the Medicare Audit Improvement Act of 2013, and encouraged cosponsors of the legislation;
-Discussed ways that the Missouri Hospital Association might be of assistance in doing modeling of the financial implications on Missouri hospitals of future deficit reduction proposals;
-Provided information regarding hospitals within the congressional districts as revised by the congressional redistricting process;
-Discuss issues concerning states use of provider taxes to fund their Medicaid programs and reductions in state disproportionate share hospital payments enacted in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010; Provided written material on those topics;
