- Responded to a request from the staff of a member of the Missouri congressional delegation to review the proposed Protecting Life and Taxpayers Act of 2019 and the Patient Rights Act.
- Sent the members of the Missouri congressional delegation a document describing the Missouri Hospital Associations principles and past actions regarding transparency of hospital price and quality data.
- Corresponded with members of the Missouri congressional delegation regarding a Dear Colleague letter to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services regarding proposed regulatory changes affecting the Medicare hospital wage index for federal fiscal year 2020.
- Invited selected members of the Missouri congressional delegation to attend a briefing in Washington DC done by a coalition of state and regional hospital associations regarding the Medicare wage index used in calculating Medicare hospital payments.
- Responded to a query from the staff of a member of the Missouri congressional delegation regarding the care provided by Missouri hospitals to a relative of the congressional staffer.
