Senate and House Agriculture Committee work regarding development of the next Farm Bill. Specific issues under consideration by Congress for the nest Farm Bill include areas impacting catfish farmers and processors. These issues areas include disaster programs under the Farm Service agency under the United States Department of Agriculture, development of a Process Verified Program by Agriculture Marketing Service under USDA, continued Food Safety Inspection Service inspections of catfish and catfish-like programs and the definition of agriculture labor.
