Concerns with the negative impact on small and non union companies of expansion and implementation of prevailing wage requirements in construction projects generally; HR 1409/S 560, Employee Free Choice Act, oppose the elimination of federally supervised private ballot union elections and oppose mandatory arbitration for first contracts; oppose efforts to implement similar changes via NLRB; oppose mandated project labor agreements as allowed under Executive Order 13502;
HR 2067/S1580, the Protecting America's Workers Act and H.R. 5663, the Miner Safety and Health Act, concerns with new civil and criminal liability for individual directors and corporate officers; concerns with nominees to the NLRB; Concerns with negative impact on business and cost/benefit of proposed changes by OSHA to noise exposure standard; HR 2460/S 1152, Healthy Families Act and HR 3991, Emergency Influenza Containment Act, concerns over mandatory paid leave requirements.
