2014 Farm Bill implementation and funding, especially regarding the commodity, conservation, energy, and rural development titles.
Child Nutrition and WIC Reauthorization - NMPF is monitoring and educating Members of Congress on the effects of the legislation for dairy farmers, cooperatives and consumers. NMPF supports and is working to implement the school milk provisions of the 2017 Consolidated Appropriations Act (H.R. 244). NMPF also supports the School Milk Nutrition Act (H.R. 4101).
Supported the Federal Milk Marketing Order system.
Supported reforms to Margin Protection Program for Dairy as well as efforts to provide dairy producers with enhanced risk management options as part of Bipartisan Budget Act (H.R. 1892).
Supported administrative efforts to help dairy producers access additional risk management options, as well as report language in the 2018 Consolidated Appropriations Act (H.R. 1625).
Supported foreign aid programs including the McGovern Dole Food Aid program.

Biogas and Nutrient Recovery Incentives - NMPF supports the Agriculture Environmental Stewardship Act (H.R. 2853, S. 988) to establish tax incentives for biogas production and adoption of nutrient recovery technologies.
Biogas Roadmap - Provided expertise and input into the ongoing work on deliverable s contained in the inter-agency Biogas Opportunities Roadmap.
Biogas Financing - Provided input to USDA and DOE regarding financing options for farmers wishing to install methane digesters.
Anaerobic Digestion - Supported efforts at USDA to ensure existing Farm Bill energy programs provide adequate opportunities for the development of anaerobic digestion systems on dairy farms. Supported RFS Electricity Pathway to make biogas eligible as a renewable fuel.
Biofuels - Monitored legislation and regulations effecting domestic biofuels production and use.
CA Drought - Supported the provisions of the GROW Act (H.R. 23) relating to California water flows.
