L. 115-36, the Public Safety Officers' Benefits Improvement Act, a law to require adequate reporting on the Public Safety Officers' Benefits program and to provide for processing improvements to increase the timeliness of claims adjudication. Implementation of E.O. 13809 to revoke the restrictions imposed by E.O. 13688 on the acquisition of lifesaving equipment through the Department of Defense or the use of federal grant funds. The need to repeal Executive Order 13688 restricting the ability of state and local law enforcement to obtain or to purchase lifesaving protective equipment from federal agencies or with federal funds. "Public Safety Officers' Benefits Program" proposed rule to revise program regulations with respect to 9/11-related death and disability claims, implement the offset requirements at 42 USC 3796(f)(3), and implement the provisions of the Hometown Heroes Survivors Benefits Act of 2003; RIN 1121-AA85; 81 FR 46019 (July 15, 2016).
