1. APGA has lobbied for passage of legislation that would provide refund authority to the FERC under Section 5 of the Natural Gas Act. Such legislation would protect customers of interstate natural gas pipelines from being overcharged.
2. APGA has pushed for full funding of the LIHEAP at $5.1 billion.
3. APGA has lobbied against the export of LNG.
4. APGA has lobbied against DOE's Residential Furnace Standards Rule.
5. APGA has lobbied against the implementation of Section 433 of the Energy Independence and Security Act which would ban fossil fuel generated energy from new or modified federal buildings by 2030.
6. APGA has lobbied generally on the issue of energy efficiency arguing that natural gas has a key role to play in meeting efficiency goals.
7. APGA has lobbied generally for the passage of legislation to promote Natural Gas Vehicles including S. 344: A bill to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to equalize the excise tax on liquified petroleum gas and liquified natural gas.
8. APGA has lobbied HUD generally about the importance of natural gas appliances in terms of cost savings and energy efficiency.
9. APGA has lobbied for public natural gas LDCs in the context of FERC's ongoing Gas-Electric Coordination rule.
10. APGA has lobbied Congress and the DOE with respect to concerns about DOE's social cost of carbon metric used in appliance standards.
11. APGA has lobbied on the issue of GHG regulations with respect to Boilers and other equipment.
12. APGA has opposed the Waters of the U.S. rule by the EPA as it would increases costs for municipal LDCs to perform routine maintenance.
13. APGA has lobbied generally on the issue of Pipeline Safety Reauthorization arguing that given the 20 mandates from the 2011 bill that have yet to be implemented, the 2015 reauthorization should be a clean reauthorization.
14. APGA has lobbied that the Technical Support Documents (TSD) for DOE rules regarding appliances, specifically the DOE Furnace Rule, should not reference private, proprietary studies to justify cost calculations which require concerned entities such as APGA to purchase said studies.
15. APGA has lobbied on (H.R. 2209 114th Congress) introduced by Representative Messer (R-IN) which would that would require regulators to classify all investment grade municipal securities as High Quality Liquid Assets (HQLA), except for municipal securities. APGA has lobbied on HR 2209, arguing that municipal securities should be designated as HQLA.
16. APGA has lobbied on Senator Inhofe's legislation, "UAVs for Energy Infrastructure Act" (S.2684) which would allow infrastructure operators, including not-for-profit LDCs, to utilize UAVs for compliance with regulations for which they were already allowed to use manned aircraft.

1. APGA has pushed for passage of legislation and rulemakings that increase natural gas market transparency and provide the CFTC with resources necessary to ensure the appropriate level of market oversight.
2. APGA has opposed legislation and rulemakings which require LDCs to post margin for OTC derivatives.
3. APGA has lobbied against the Federal Reserve's NOPR prohibiting Banks' subsidiaries; ownership of commodities, arguing that such a ban would harm municipal LDCs ability to execute prepays, which are used to purchase natural gas over the long term to save customers' money.
4. APGA has lobbied on HR 2209 from Rep. Messer (IN) which defines some securities as High Quality Liquid Assets (HQLA) but not municipal securities as HQLA. APGA has argued in its lobbying that municipal securities should be HQLA.
