FY 2015 Omnibus Appropriations Bill (H.R. 83) -- supported nuclear non-proliferation funding, opposed wasteful and ineffective nuclear weapons spending, opposed nuclear weapons provisions in the House, supported responsible budgeting and opposed off-budget accounts such as the Overseas Contingency Operations account, urged for the Pentagon to be audit-ready, supported cuts to spending and more accountability on weapons programs such as F-35, Littoral Combat Ship, Abrams tank, and other Pentagon Budget Campaign priorities.
FY 2015 Defense Authorization bill (H.R. 3979) supported nuclear non-proliferation funding, opposed wasteful and ineffective nuclear weapons spending, supported responsible budgeting and opposed off-budget accounts such as the Overseas Contingency Operations account, urged for the Pentagon to be audit-ready, supported cuts to spending and more accountability on weapons programs such as F-35, Littoral Combat Ship, Abrams tank, and other Pentagon Budget Campaign priorities, opposed addition of National Sea-Based Deterrence fund to pay for new submarines the Ohio-class replacement submarine (SSBN).
Urged for Congress to scrutinize carefully the new military engagement in Iraq and Syria and demand additional information about the purpose and scope before any vote to authorize the use of military force.
Supported Frank A. Rose nomination as Assistant Secretary for Verification and Compliance, Department of State- organized letter and Twitter campaign targeting Senator Reid on his behalf
Iran supported negotiations to prevent a nuclear-armed Iran, opposed sanctions legislation, including the Menendez-Kirk S. 1881, Nuclear Weapon Free Iran Act of 2015, and the Corker S. 2640 Iran Nuclear Negotiations Act of 2014.
