FY 2014 International Affairs Budget and State, Foreign Operations - support robust international affairs budget including increases in climate and biodiversity spending; support funding for conservation in Myanmar and the Amazon; specific advocacy for CARPE funding through USAID; support funding for the Global Environmental Fund; advocate for expanded language addressing wildlife poaching in Africa and U.S. government efforts to address it; support funding for continued enforcement of Lacey Act provisions.
FY 2014 Budget for Interior, Environment and Other Programs oppose cuts in funding for FWS International Programs, including the Multinational Species Conservation Fund, International Affairs, Wildlife Without Borders, and Law Enforcement; oppose cuts in funding for other Interior/Environment programs including National Park Service International Program, Forest Service Office of International Programs, Endangered Species Act, Land and Water Conservation Fund, and EPA; oppose riders limiting EPAs authority under the Clean Air Act; oppose riders to weaken the ESA.
