the largest possible 302b funding for Labor, Health & Human Service and Education
the largest possible 302b funding for Housing, within THUD.
Creation of a Budget that adheres to principles laid out in the FAITHFUL BUDGET Document of the Faith Community

Bring an end to sequestration
NETWORK strongly encourages Congress to reduce spending by the Pentagon, in ways that do not jeopardize our troops. This might include elimination of "no-bid" contracts, elimination of added funding for cost and time-overruns, and abiding by the results of an annual audit. This assumes that there will be an annual audit commencing in the next 2 years.
NETWORK strongly opposes any legislative action which
segments out some programs from the effects of sequestration, as this puts more pressure on other areas
greater funding of Defense, Homeland Security and Military Construction at the expense of human needs
increases tax benefits to comporations and to wealthy individuals - under the guise of creating jobs

HR 1286/S 631 - NETWORK strongly supports the Healthy Families Act, which does ensure workers flexibility of time off as needed for family responsibilities.
S. 460/H.R. 1010 The Fair Minimum Wage Act of 2013 - NETWORK strongly supports an increase in the minimum wage, particularly to include increased and rising minimums for tip workers.
NETWORK urges Congress to hold in highest importance the creation of jobs and support of those without work.

H.R. 880/S. 410 The Wall Street Trading and Speculators Tax Act - NETWORK is a strong supporter of initiation of this tax.
NETWORK strongly urges Congress to protect the EITC and the CTC from harmful cuts or changes
NETWORK strongly opposes changing the formula used to calculate the annual cost of living adjustment (COLA) as it negatively affects the elderly and those at the lowest income levels. It also will have a negative effect on meeting the needs of veterans.
