The association follows the federal budget and appropriations process as it relates to agencies, and their respective policies, that have
jurisdiction over rural telecommunications matters. Primarily the association monitors the Federal Communications Commission(FCC),
the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), and the Rural Utilities Service (RUS), and the budget,
programs, and policies of each. During the reporting period the following introduced measures were focused upon.
H.R. 83 (PL 113-235) - FY2015 Omnibus; Consolidated and Further Continuing Appropriations Act - all sections under the Agriculture Title dealing with the Rural Utilities Service Telecommunications program and related financing programs and the Financial Services Title dealing with Federal Communications Funding and related programs.
H.J.Res 130 (PL 113-202) FY2015 Continuing Resolution, (through December 13, 2014) - all sections.
H.J.Res. 131 (PL 113-203) - Making further continuing appropriations for fiscal year 2015, and for other purposes (until December 17, 2014) - all sections.

and capabilities and that have far different economies of scale and competitive opportunities than larger carriers. During the
