Farm Bill - INFB plans to support the 2023 five year "Farm Bill" that sets national agriculture, nutrition, conservation, and forestry policy. INFB discussed the importance of maintaining these programs and released their 2023 farm bill priorities. INFB also helped craft a IN delegation letter supporting those 2023 farm bill priorities.

H.R. 4708; H-2 Improvements to Relieve Employers - INFB is supportive of H.R. 4708, which would streamline the issuance of nonimmigrant temporary work visas (H-2A and H-2B) and provide regulatory relief to our farmers that are currently struggling to find dependable labor.

Indiana Farm Bureau supports the administrations newest efforts to combat Mexicos proposed ban on GMO corn. INFB have encouraged our delegation to also support these efforts and to encourage the administration to move swiftly when next steps can be taken.
H.R. 4417; Ending Agriculture Trade Suppression Act - INFB is supportive of the Ending Agricultural Trade Suppression (EATS) Act as a legislative fix that would prevent states from impeding agricultural trade from other states within the U.S. This is in response to the unfavorable Prop 12 ruling from the Supreme Court.
