FTA's - The House Ways and Means Committee announced that it will hold a mock markup on Thursday, July 7, of the pending trade agreements with Korea, Colombia and Panama. Committee mock markups provide the only opportunity for Congress to offer amendments to the administrations proposals.

The states rural nature demands that we pursue the expansion of mobile broadband services through all viable technologies. Broadband access and quality mobile phone use in rural Arkansas lags behind many other states. Rural communities depends heavily on their ability to access tools that are readily available in urban areas and to our neighbors in other states. - Letter

The National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) has developed a plan they are calling the Agriculture Disaster Assistance Program (ADAP) that would replace Direct Payments and Counter-Cyclical payments. The ADAP program alters the current Average Crop Revenue (ACRE) program in several ways.
