MATS amendment to Senate Energy bill (no number) - Carper-Alexander Preserve MATS Amendment #1343- This amendment would protect the Environmental Protect Agency (EPA)'s 2012 Mercury and Air Toxics Standards (MATS) rule. The amendment would remove any question on whether it is appropriate and necessary for EPA to regulate mercury and air toxics from power plants.
S. 747 - Diesel Emission Reduction Act of 2019 - Reauthorizes at $100 million through FY 20224 existing program to incentivize trade out of older dirty engines for newer cleaner version.
S. 2274 - Wood Heaters Emissions Reduction Act (WHERA). WHERA authorizes a five year grant program at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to incentivize the removal and replacement of old, inefficient residential wood heaters for more efficient, clean-burning ones.
S. 3364 - Clean Air Sharp Minds Act - Creates a pilot program to install air purifiers in schools located in pollution hot spots to help better demonstrate the connection between clean air and improved academic performance.
