H.R. 184, S.775 - Mechanical Insulation Installation Incentive Act of 2013 - Amends th Internal Revenue Code to allow an additional tax deduction for the cost of installing mechanical insulation property. Limits the amount of such deduction to the lesser of 30% or the reduction in energy loss from the installed mechanical insulation property compared to property that meets the minimum requirements of ASHRAE standard 90.1-2007. H.R. 4923 - FY 15 Energy and Water Appropriations bill - Worked to secure report language in the committee report (House Report 113-486) to require DOE to coordinate with federal agencies to produce a report to conduct energy audits at fedearl buildings to determine where energy savings could be achived with greater utilization of mechanical insulation. Also secured language in the DOE Advanced Manufacturing section of the committee report to direct DOE to promote mechanical insulation.
