Provides additional funding for the HHS Departments emergency program to provide funds to public water systems to reduce arrearages of low-income households and assistance to state and local governments impacted by pandemic, including special districts.
H.R. 535 (Garamendi) and S. 91 (Sinema) Special Districts Essential Services Act.
Funding for Reclamation programs in the draft Senate Energy and Natural Resources Infrastructure package.
FY2022 Energy and Water Appropriations: Support increased funding for Reclamation programs including: CALFED, WIIN Storage projects, Desalination, water recycling, ecosystem restoration projects, WaterSmart, Colorado River Salinity Control Program, DOIs water conservation obligations under the DCP, cleanup of a waste disposal site near Hoover Dam, and Reclamations Safety of Dams program. Support increased funding for DOEs Moab Uranium Mill Tailing Remedial Action Project.
FY2022 Interior-Environment Appropriations: support funding for the USGS Water and Science Program, EPA Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Funds, WIFIA, National Priorities Water Research Grant Program, and the Innovative Water Technologies Grant Program.
