Repeal of Section 433
AGA continues to advocate for the repeal of Section 433 of the Energy Independence and Security Act (EISA) of 2007 which states both new and existing/renovated federal buildings phase out the consumption of fossil fuel generated energy by 2030. in the following pieces of legislation: S. 1245, H.R. 2664, and also in S. 2137.
S. 2657, American Energy Innovation Act
Guidance pertaining to energy efficiency and building codes.
H.R. 6800 - HEROES Act
Advocated for state utility commission guidance rather than language supporting federally mandated moratoriums on shut-offs and disconnections
H.R. 4447 Clean Energy Jobs & Innovation Act
Guidance pertaining to energy efficiency and building energy codes and DOE involvement in a pipeline replacement grant program aimed at lowering related costs on low income consumers.
