H.R. 1 Continuing Resolution and Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2011 This legislation would eliminate any unobligated funds provided to the Office of the National Coordinator through ARRA. AHIMA is interested in the effect of the loss of funds on healthcare programs.
H. R. 2 Repealing of the Job-Killing Health Care Law Act - Repealing the Job-Killing Health Care Law Act - Repeals the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, effective as of its enactment. Restores provisions of law amended by such Act. Repeals the health care provisions of the Health Care and Education and Reconciliation Act of 2010, effective as of the Act's enactment. Restores provisions of law amended by the Act's health care provisions. AHIMA is interested in the effects on the health care industry.
H.R. 408 To reduce Federal spending by $2.5 trillion through fiscal year 202 -. Sections 301 and 302 would eliminate the HIT meaningful use incentives while leaving HITECH intact. AHIMA is interested in how the HIT meaningful use incentive would affect the health care industry.

H.R. 1841 Data Accountability and Trust Act (DATA) of 2011 - A bill to protect consumers by requiring reasonable security policies and procedures to protect computerized data containing personal information, and to provide for nationwide notice in the event of a security breach. AHIMA is interested in privacy and security issues and patient notification.
H.R. 1895 A Bill to Amend the Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act - To amend the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 to extend, enhance, and revise the provisions relating to collection, use, and disclosure of personal information of children and to establish certain other protections for personal information of children and minors. AHIMA is interested in privacy and security issues.
H.R. 2500 - Equal Access and Parity for Multi-Campus Hospitals Act - A bill to amend titles XVIII and XIX of the Social Security Act to clarify the application of EHR payment incentives in cases of multi-campus hospitals.
S. 501 Fostering Independence Through Technology Act - A bill to establish pilot projects under the Medicare program to provide incentives for home health agencies to utilize home monitoring and communications technologies. AHIMA has an interest in Medicare and home health agencies.
S. 539 Behavior Health Information Technology Act - A bill to amend the Public Health Services Act and the Social Security Act to extend health information technology assistance eligibility to behavioral health, mental health, and substance abuse professionals and facilities, and for other purposes. AHIMA has an interest in health information technology as it affects our members and the health care industry.
S. 799 The Commercial Privacy Bill of Rights - A bill to establish a regulatory framework for the comprehensive protection of personal data for individuals under the aegis of the Federal Trade Commission, and for other purposes. AHIMA has an interest in privacy and security as it pertains to health information.
S. 913 Do-Not-Track Online Act of 2011 - A bill to require the Federal Trade Commission to prescribe regulations regarding the collection and use of personal information obtained by tracking the online activity of an individual, and for other purposes. AHIMA is interested in privacy and security issues.
