Support of H.R. 756, as it offers reforms the Postal Service that would help to restore the financial solvency of the Postal Service and reduce the Postal Services heavy burden to prefund its retiree health benefit obligation; support of H.R. 942 as it extends Merit Systems Protection Board appeal rights to postal employees who are not represented by a bargaining group and is in a supervisory, professional, technical, clerical, administrative, or managerial position covered by the Executive and Administrative Schedule; support of H.R. 760, which would authorize the investment of Postal Service Retirement Health Benefit Fund assets in index funds offered by the Thrift Savings Plan; support of H.R. 946 which would would prohibit state restrictions on a persons ability to vote by absentee ballot, such as requiring a doctors note, the details of a religious obligation, latest pregnancy status or details of a vacation destination; and, support of H.R. 964, which extends to U.S. Postal Service police officers and certain other federal officers the same civil service retirement status and benefits that other federal law enforcement officers already enjoy.

Opposition to H.Con. Res. 71, as it calls for $32 billion in reduction of spending, which will most likely come out of federal retirement benefits. Opposition to changes to the Civil Service Retirement System and the Federal Employee Retirement System , including: moving from a high-three annuity calculation to a high-five; reductions in COLAs for current and future retirees; eliminating the FERS annuity supplement for those who retire before Social Security eligibility; and, increases to employee contributions.
