Research and comments submission to the National Trade Estimate Report on SPS Measures for 2009. The primary focus in these comments was almond trade issues pertaining to the European Union and India; research and comments submitted to the National Trade Estimate Report on Standards-Related Measures for 2009. These comments encouraged overcoming obstacles to trade with Russia; resolution to Mexican retaliatory tariffs;
Comments were submitted to the USTR in response to the National Trade Estimate Report on Foreign Barriers for 2009. Ten countries were included in the comments. From previous comments, the following countries were maintained in the 2009 NTE Report submission: Brazil, China, European Union, India, Israel, Turkey and Vietnam. Advocated free trade between the U.S. for all the countries listed above. Additional research was conducted to incorporate new countries including Egypt, Mexico and Russia;support all free trade agreements
