Animal Welfare - provided educational outreach on animal welfare practices of the dairy industry and opposed any more restrictive regulation on this issue
Reinspection of nonambulatory animals - support a USDA ruling that no reinspection of nonambulatory animals would be permitted once they pass ante-mortem inspections.
H.R. 503 and S. 727 - Prevention of Equine Cruelty Act of 2008 - opposed bill making it a felony to sell or transport a horse for the purpose of slaughter.
Food, Animal Residue Avoidance Databank (FARAD) - support funding for this system to provide the industry with information on how to avoid drug, pesticide and environmental contaminent residue problems.
Mandatory Animal ID - support steps to make this mandatory
Preservation of Antibiotics for Medical Treatment - oppose legislation to avoid "overuse or misuse" of antibiotics in medicine and agriculture due to inappropriate limitations on needed antibiotics

Final rulemaking on Clean Water Act regulations pertaining to Confined Animal Feeding Operations
Rulemaking on CERCLA/EPCRA pertaining to livestock operations - proposed to exclude from federal reporting requirements the emmissions of ammonia from dairy manure to the air, as well as ammonia emissions from all other livestock & poultry operations related to manure.
