Submitted comments to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on its proposed supplemental rulemaking to the 2020 Renewable Volume Obligations (RVOs) under the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS).
Joined a coalition of biofuel and farm advocates in sending a letter to the White House calling on President Trump to fix a flawed proposal from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), which fails in its mission to reinvigorate farm economies and reopen biofuel plants across Americas heartland. The letter notes that the EPAs draft plan undermines the administrations commitment to restore integrity to the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) and accurately account for biofuel demand destroyed by small refinery exemptions (SREs).
Testified at the public hearing in Ypsilanti, Michigan, on the Environmental Protection Agencys (EPA) proposed supplemental rulemaking to its proposed 2020 Renewable Volume Obligations (RVOs) under the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS).
Joined a coalition of renewable fuel and agricultural trade organizations in filing a petition with the Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, challenging the process by which the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) exempted certain unknown small refineries from their respective Renewable Fuel Standard obligations for 2018.
Met with House and Senate members to discuss the role ethanol could play in potential climate legislation, as a high octane/low carbon fuel.
Opposed H.R. 3427, a bill to repeal the Renewable Fuel Standard.
Supported H.R. 3410 and S. 1840, bills to establish certain requirements for small refinery exemptions under the RFS.
Opposed H.R. 104, the LEVEL Act, a bill to repeal the Renewable Fuel Standard II, keeping RFS I volumes intact.
Opposed. H.R. 1024, the Consumer Protection and Fuel Transparency Act of 2019, a bill to require the PEA to revise labeling requirements for fuel pumps that dispense E15. The law would also require additional labeling for blender pumps, warning consumers of residual gasoline left in gasoline pump hoses from previous dispensing.
