Expanding the understanding of tribal sovereignty and the federal trust responsibility to Indian tribes and the Tribal colleges they charter. Retaining existing and fostering new opportunities to increase the capacity of TCUs. Continue conversations regarding TCUs vital role in educating/training the future AI/AN workforce and achieving the national college completion goal. Ensure TCU eligibility and participation in all federally funded programs open to institutions of higher education and Native language/culture preservation/vitalization programs.
