S. 721 Energy Savings and Industrial Competiveness Act - AHRI worked with the offices of Senators Shaheen and Portman on portions of draft legislative language, specifically on building codes and a motor rebate program proposal.
Regional Furnace Efficiency Standards - AHRI advocated Congress and the DOE to delay implementation of new furnace efficiency standards in light of ongoing litigation involving those standards.
AHRI Member Advocacy Day - AHRI staff accompanied AHRI members on visits to a number of House and Senate offices to discuss industry policy priorities and goals for the 113th Congress.
Third Party Certification - AHRI discussed with Congressional offices the importance of urging the Department of Energy to recognize third-party certification bodies as certifiers of federal standards for commercial and residential HVAC, refrigeration and water heating equipment.

Building Efficiency Act - AHRI worked with Congressman Langevin's office on draft proposal for changing the depreciation schedule for energy efficiency upgrades to commercial and rental property buildings.
Tax Proposal - AHRI submitted tax proposal language to the House Ways and Means Committee on efficiency incentives for commercial and residential properties.
Home Owner Managing Energy Savings (HOMES) Act - AHRI worked with Congressman Welch and his staff on a draft proposal creating incentives for energy efficiency upgrades.
