-Followed Executive Order to increase oversight of DOD Tuition Assistance, VA Post 9-11 G-I bill funds.
-Monitored Department of Education's Gainful employment progress.
-Monitored Ways & Means Higher Education Task Force, especially as related to H.R. 3393, Student and Family Tax Simplification Act.
- Lobbied in support of H.R. 1937, and S. 915 the Student Right to Know Before you Go Act.
-Monitored issues relating to changes in the 90/10 formula.
-Monitored issues relating to direct assessment; financial aid reform, accredidation, marketing spend.
-Monitored movement on S. 1294, the Department of Labor, Health and Human Services and Education and Related Agencies Appropriations Act especially relating to Title III the Department of Education.
-Monitored movement on Senate Defense Appropriations legislation, especially as related to 90/10 market restrictions.
-Monitored progress of S.744, Border Security, Economic Opportunity and Immigration Modernization Act, especially as it relates to higher education opportunities.
-Monitored H.R. 3136, Advancing Competency - Based Education Demonstration Project Act.
-Monitored movement of H.R. 3304, National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2014 and actively lobbied on state licensure issues.
