Protection of home education from government regulation - meetings with various Congressional offices to talk about homeschooling success.
Meetings with Members of Congress and staff about protecting homeschool freedom in the reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, including protecting the language codified in 20 U.S.C. 7886, if Congress reauthorizes ESEA.
Opposition to Senate's ESEA reauthorization draft legislation that was introduced by Senators Harkin and Enzi due to concerns that it significantly increases the federal role in education. We believe that this legislation could lead to federal/state control over homeschooling.
