Implementation of President Trump's June 15, 2017 Executive Order 13801, Expanding Apprenticeships in America. H.R. 5509, the "Innovations in Mentoring, Training, and Apprenticeships Act," legislation to direct the National Science Foundation to provide grants for research about STEM education approaches and the STEM-related workforce; section 3 concerning apprenticeship grants. General education concerning efforts SWACCA is making to give ex-offenders a second chance through skills training in the construction industry. H.R. 4997, the "Giving Retirement Options to Workers (GROW) Act of 2018," legislation to amend the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 and the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to authorize a new composite multiemployer pension plan design; entire bill.
