Supporting the Moran / LaTourette amendment seeking the consistent application of federal prevailing wage requirements under the Davis-Bacon Act to any and all construction procurement under the Clean Water and Safe Drinking Water Acts.

S 1436 / HR 3183 - FY2010 Energy and Water Appropriations. An original bill making appropriations for energy and water development and related agencies for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2010, and for other purposes. Seeking the inclusing of federal wage protections.
National Defense Authorization for Fiscal Year 2010 - An original bill to authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2010 for military activities of the Department of Defense, for military construction, and for defense activities for the Department of Energy, to prescribe military personnel strengths for such fiscal year, and for other purposes. An amendment to the Defense Authorization Act to authorize funding for the Center for Military Recruitment, Assessment and Veterans Employment Program.

Working to ensure the inclusion a strong public plan option, a pay-or-play requirement that covers all employers, progressive funding alternatives that do not tax middle class workers, preserving tax exclusion of health benefits, reining in the misclassification of workers as independent contractors in order to prevent the skirting of the employer mandate, preserving health care coverage as a condition of bargaining, and ensuring that all provisions work with mutliemployer
health and welfare plans.
