HR 5504 - Improving Nutrition for America's Children Act - NETWORK supports this bill for re-authorization of the Child Nutrition Act, and encourages the authorization of $10 billion additional funding over 10 years, as requested by the President.
S 3307 - Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 - NETWORK supports bringing this Agriculture Committee bill to the floor of the Senate for a vote - in order that there be a bill for work by a Conference Committee.
Child Nutrition Reauthorization - NETWORK met with Secretary Vilsack to encourage his work to add $10 billion over 10 years to the Child Nutrition Programs, in an attempt to stop childhood hunger by 2015.
H.R. 4971 - Greening Food Deserts Act - NETWORK strongly supports federal government assistance to bring affordable and accessible fresh fruits and vegetables to all areas - particularly urban areas with high poverty rates.
