Support funding the SIREN Grant program for FY22;
Educate lawmakers and staff on Treatment in Place (TIP). Support provision in recent COVID package to reimburse EMS for these services under the PHE and ultimately permanently;
Support S. 149/H.R. 1609 that would provide the CMS with the authority to waive the requirement that a patient be transported to a medical facility in order for the ground ambulance service provider or supplier to receive Medicare reimbursement;
Educate lawmakers and staff on the need to count EMS workforce correctly. Support H.R. 2354, a bill that would count EMS workforce correctly under the BLS;
Support passage of H.R. 1195, the Workplace Violent and Social Services Act;
Support funding for HRSAs Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) Program;
Support S. 2037/H.R. 2453, ambulance Medicare extenders legislation to extend for another five years the temporary 2% urban, 3% rural and super rural bonus increases that expire at the end of 2022 and allow for the preservation of more zip codes as being rural. Ambulance transports that originate in rural zip codes get not only the 1% temporary increase but a 50% increase on the first 17 miles of a transport;
Support $15 billion to build out 911 services nationwide;
Wrote a letter to Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee and House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee opposing any legislation that would increase the legal size or weight limits of trucks because of the serious safety risks inherent in allowing bigger trucks on our nations roads and bridges;
Support passage of H.R. 1480, the HERO Act, a bill that establishes several federal programs designed to address public safety behavioral health issues;
Support H.R. 3060, The Putting Our First Responders First Act, which would will provide clarification to both IRS employees and first responders and keep injury-related compensation tax exempt after retirement age;
H.R. 2936/S. 1511, the Protecting America's First Responders Act, which would make it easier for public safety officers to qualify for the Public Safety Officers' Benefits (PSOB) Disability program;
Support H.R. 3164, the Hot Cars Act;
Oppose H.R.3876, the Ketamine Restriction Act;
Support H.R. 3728, a bill that would authorize a one-time, $1 billion appropriation to fund construction and refurbishment of fire and EMS stations;
Express opposition to a draft quality bill;
Support the re-introduction of the Congressional EMS Caucus.
