Discussions with Congressional offices regarding support of bi-partisan energy reform, such as S 1462. Specifically we support renewable energy sources including ethanol, biodiesel, biomass and wind development; efforts to increase the nations energy security and independence through increased exploration and drilling; and new capacity for nuclear power generation. We continue to oppose climate change legislation which would place unnecessary financial burden on agriculture producers.

We support immediate action on the Colombia, Panama and South Korean agreements which have been pending for more than a year. We also support new efforts to negotiate regional and bi-lateral trade agreements with other nations.
