lobbying against proposed changes of TRICARE in NDAA including increased copays and deductibles for TRICARE pharmacy; protecting TRICARE military retirees under the age of 62 and their families; lobbying in support of the Commissary and separate Exchange benefits and their continued full funding ;urging the abolishment of remaining military retired pay and VA disability pay H.R. 303. H.R. 313; S 234; lobbying on behalf of improvements in pay and benefits for the National Guard and Reserves including
including eliminating 60 as the age that NG & R retirees can qualify for TRICARE H.R. 738;
urging the end of the SBP/DIC offsetfor survivors of service members who die on active duty or as a result of a service connected disabilty or inury H.R.32, S.734
allowing SBP payment to be directly deposited into a "Special Needs Trust" for permanently disabled beneficiaries

lobbying for the correction of procedures of keeping track and reporting medical care delays and backlogs throughout the country; in favor of granting more control of VA Secretary to control and dismiss if appropriate senior managment ; streamling the proceedure for hiring and firing; in favor of appropriations to hire more direct healthcare personel; in favor of improvemnt in the methods that the VA can buy and rent real estate; in favor of continuing to consentrate on shrinking initial disability adjudication backlog;
urging more medical care in the civilian medical market when appointment delays are too long and referrals for specialty care that the VA does not provide;
lobbying in favor of requiring state colleges and universities to be required to charge in-state tuition to veterans who are using the Post 9/11 GI Bill and granting widows and widowers of servicemembers who died on active duty to qualify for the Sgt. Fry Scholarship (as their children presently do.)
lobbying on behalf not only for better medical wait times but also for better medical care including improved psychiatric care and additional improvements and available healthcare in the rural regions of our country incorporating the ARCH pilot program
continuing to work for programs that help veterans both obtain jobs and start and continue to run independently owned small businesses
lobbying to extend the VRAP program
continuing to urge passage of HR 679 and S629 which would grant veterans status to National Guard and Reserve retirees with 20 or more years of service
