Monitoring policy development and implementation of the 2018 Farm Bill focusing on oilseed and commodity programs, conservation reserve program, risk management programs, crop insurance, biotechnology, GMO disclosure, international trade programs, energy programs, biofuels, transportation, corona virus, activities and climate change initiatives. Supporting the reintroduction and passage of the passage of The Growing Climate Solutions Act. Monitoring hearings and policy discussions in preparation for the 2023 Farm Bill. Encourage USDA to examine all available tools to address commodity supply challenges including flexibility for acres within CRP due to disruption of global trade and implications on food security.

Monitoring Surface Transportation Board actions relating to rail issues. Monitoring transportation issues resulting from the corona virus and constraints facing the agricultural supply chains. Monitoring new projects and their funding to improve inland waterways and boost agricultural competitiveness. Monitoring legislation to help alleviate port congestion, transport delays, demurrage fees, container issues and overall port congestion. Encourage the Administration to ensure West Coast ports labor negotiations don't result in any labor disruptions. Monitor STB hearings and actions focusing on rail service and other issues. Monitor legislation in preparation for STB Reauthorization. Monitoring legislation on WRDA Reauthorization and supporting efforts on adjusting the 75% general revenue and 25% Inland Waterway Trust Fund. Monitor negations between rail roads and labor union regarding a potential strike.
