Keystone XL Pipeline: Advocated for the granting of a Presidential Permit for the pipeline.
HR 1938 The North American - Made Energy Act - Advocated for the Passage of the legislation. This is a bill that would help to expedite the permitting process for the Keystone XL Pipeline.
Infrastructure Jobs and Energy Independence Act of 2011, H.R. 1861 - Advocated for passage of this bill, to use energy royalties
to fund infrastructure.

FAA Reauthorization: Worked in favor of passage of HR 658 & S 223 the FAA Air Transportation Modernization and Safety Improvement Act.
Surface Transportation Act: (No Bill #) Worked to secure passage of a robust Surface Transportation Act Reauthorization (Rep. Micah's proposal and Senator Boxer's proposal), to reauthorize federal funding levels for the national surface transportation program.
Worked to pass HR 2887; the Surface and Air Transportation Extension Act of 2011.
H.R. 1824 - a bill to make modifications to the Board of Directors to the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority
(MWAA) . Lobbied in support of retaining the MWAA Board's current structure.
American Jobs Act of 2011 (No Bill # during the quarter, S 1660 was introduced October 5, 2011) - Lobbied for the introduction and passage of the legislation to enact the President's proposal to create jobs and strengthen the economy.

Prevailing Wage Laws/Davis Bacon: Worked to oppose the Gosar Amendment to the Energy and Water Devlopment and Related Agencies Appropriations Act of 2012 (H. 2354); which would have eliminated the application of prevailing wage laws to the programs funded by the Act.
Met with members of Congress and staff to advocate for the consistent application of prevailing wage laws to federally assisted
construction.
H.R. 2587 - The Protecting Jobs from Government Interference Act - lobbied against this bill that would alter the NLRB's power to enforce Labor Laws. S. 1599 Labor HHS Appropriations Bill, opposed efforts to include in this appropriations bill language to alter the NLRB's power to enforce labor laws.
Project Labor Agreements: Worked to oppose efforts to eliminate or constrict the use of project labor agreements; H.R. 1824 - a bill to make modifications to the Board of Directors to the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA). Lobbied in support of retaining the MWAA Board's current structure.

H.R. 1169 - The National Guard Technician Equity Act. This bill would provide National Guard dual-status technicians improved rights under federal laws regarding workplace matters. LIUNA lobbied for passage of this bill, including its inclusion in the Fiscal Year 2012 National Defense Authorization (NDAA), which authorizes programs at the Defense Department each year.
