Universal Service: expressed opposition to an overall cap on USF; supported draft legislation to reform the current USF contributions methodology; lobbied on pros and cons of the FCC's USF broadband network speed and latency testing regime; and E-Rate spending, FCC's Rural Digital Opportunities Fund (RDOF).
Broadband: expressed support proposal to providing broadband incentives for large telecommunications providers to divest themselves of their most rural hard-to-serve areas to enable other broadband providers to serve those area; broadband network speed and latency testing; H.R 2741, the Leading Infrastructure for Tomorrow's America (LIFT) Act which seeks to rebuild and modernize the nation's infrastructure to among other things help expand access to broadband, Next-Gen 911 etc.
Broadband mapping initiatives to require more granularity on where broadband is and is not deployed: H.R. S. 1522 and H.R. 3126, the Broadband Data Improvement Act; the Map Improvement Act; H.R. 2643, the Broadband Maps Act; S. 842, the Improving Broadband Mapping Act; and S. 454, the Office of Rural Broadband Act and H.R. 2601, the Office of Rural Telecommunications -- both pieces of legislation call for establishment of new offices to specifically coordinate broadband efforts among the Federal agencies office.
H.R. 2929, the Rural Broadband Network Advancement Act -- requires large edge providers and other high-bandwidth cost-causers to contribute to the transport costs associated with delivering high volumes of content
Telecom Supply Chain matters related to the 2019 National Defense Authorization Act, specifically S. 1625, the US 5G Leadership Act which promotes the deployment of commercial 5G mobile networks and the sharing of information with communications providers in the US regarding security risks to the networks of those providers. H.R. 4459, Secure and Trusted Communications Networks Act, which prohibits Federal funds from being used to purchase equipment or services that pose national security risks and provides reimbursement for replacing such equipment that's already been deployed.
Robocalls: H.R. 3375, the Stopping Bad Robocalls Act which clarifies prohibition on making robocalls; S. 151, the Telephone Robocall Abuse Criminal Enforcement & Deterrence (TRACED) Act
Telecom on Public Lands: H.R. 2611, the Public Lands Telecom Act which supports the establishment and importance of communications sites on or adjacent to Federal lands.
