FY12 Agricultural Appropriations bill. 1. Amendment to lower the adjusted gross income (AGI) test to $250,000 from the current law's $750,000 in on-farm income and $500,000 in off-farm income; 2. Amendment also reduces upland cotton direct payments by the amount necessary to fund the Brazil Cotton Institute; 3. Amendment diverts the funds form Brazil Cotton Institute and redirects them to the Women, Infants and Children's program.
Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration's proposed rule entitled "Implementation of Regulations Required Under Title XI of the Food, Conservation and Entergy Act of 2008; Conduct in Violation of the Act." The proposal is too Broad to state "for" or "against" as it affects the beef, pork and poultry industries differently.

H.R. 872 the Reducing Regulatory Burdens Act of 2011. The bipartisan bill would eliminate the burdensome and overlapping permit requirements resulting from the National Cotton Council v. EPA (6th Cir. 2009) case. H.R. 872 would amend the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) and the Clean Water Act (CWA) to clarify that CWA permits are not needed when a pesticide is applied in accordance with a FIFRA-approved label.
S. 718 A bill to amend the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act to improve the use of certain registered pesticides.

S. 884 the Domestic Energy Promotion Act of 2011. Sets the Volumetric Ethanol Excise Tax Credit at 20 cents per gallon for 2012 and 15 cents per gallon for 2013. After 2013 and through 2016, the bill provides for a variable rate tax incentive that is tied to the price of oil.
