Issues relating to the 2023 Farm Bill and providing a report to Congress that identifies any potential regulatory, non-regulatory, and legislative recommendations, including the appropriateness of any definitions for liquid orthophosphate-based nutrients used in conservation practices.
Support S. 719, and companion HR 1495, Precision Agriculture Loan Act of 2023, that allows producers to obtain a USDA low interest loan for up to $500k (terms 3-12 years) to finance eligible precision ag equipment (new or retrofit).
Support S. 720 and companion HR 1459, the Producing Responsible Energy and Conservation Incentives and Solutions for the Environment Act of 2023 (PRECISE) Act of 2023, that uses existing USDA Conservation Loan and Guaranteed Loan programs, with up to a 90% guarantee, increases cost share and practice payments for precision agriculture technologies under the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) and the Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP) and emphasizes the use of third-party providers for technical assistance for soil health planning.
Issues relating to Life Cycle Analysis showcasing environmental impacts associated alternative fertilizer management for corn production in the U.S. Midwest.
Issues relating to USDA Rural Development Fertilizer Production Expansion Program (FPEP) grants.
