H.R.3293: Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education, and related agencies for the fiscal year 2010 Appropriations Act AHIMA is interested in funding for Title VII of the PHSA (HRSA-Allied Health), funding for health information technology and the Office of the National Coordinator, and related issues. Another interest includes the prohibition on the HIPAA requirement for a unique health identifier for individuals.
H.R.3200: America's Affordable Health Choices Act AHIMA is interested in the provisions relating to administrative simplification and healthcare workforce.
H.R.2176: Nursing and Allied Health Education Preservation Act of 2009 Interested in this bill to amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to continue the ability of hospitals to supply a needed workforce of nurses and allied health professionals by preserving funding for hospital operated nursing and allied health education programs.
H.CON.RES.85: Budget Resolution: US House of Representatives Interested in this bill as it related to health care reform. (Passed 4/2/09)
H.R.1: American Recovery and Investment Act of 2009 Interested in provisions impacting health information technology including various elements of the bill that addressed telemedicine, broadband and related issues. This does include Broadband Technology Opportunities Program. Health information technology incentive provisions are also included in the Medicare/Medicaid provisions. Also have an interest in areas of the legislation impacting workforce, training and education. Agencies where interest exists: Department of Health and Human Services (ONC, CMS, HRSA), Department of Labor, National Institute of Standards and Technology, Department of Agriculture, Department of Veterans Affairs.
S.1: A bill to create jobs, restore economic growth, and strengthen America's middle class through measures that modernize the nation's infrastructure, enhance America's energy independence, expand educational opportunities, preserve and improve affordable health care, provide tax relief, and protect those in greatest need, and for other purposes. Interested in the portions relating to health care and educational opportunities related to health care workers.

H.R.598: Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act Intersted in the health information technology portions of the bill. (This legislation was incorporated into HR1/S1)
H.R.461: 10,000 Trained by 2010 Act Interested in this bill to authorize the National Science Foundation to award grants to institutions of higher education to develop and offer education and training programs as it relates to health care workers. (This legislation was incorporated into HR 1/S 1)
S.1679: Affordable Health Choices Act AHIMA is interested in the provisions relating to administrative simplification and healthcare workforce.
S.1173: Community Based Health Care Retraining Act Interested in this bill to establish a demonstration project to train unemployed workers for employment as health care professionals, and for other purposes.
S.1176: Allied Health Reinvestment Act Interested in the entirety of this bill to amend the Public Health Service Act to promote and improve the allied health professionals.
