Worked on FY15 Omnibus Appropriations bill (HR 83) to include language directing the Secretary of Agriculture to issue a report on how to fix COOL, to stop work on a duplicate beef checkoff under the 1996 Generic Checkoff Act, and to not focus on environment or sustainability during the Dietary Guidelines process. Also included language that defunded any further work on the proposed GIPSA livestock rule from the 2008 Farm Bill, provided a one-year delay in listing the sage grouse under the Endangered Species Act, and to rescind the interpretive rule under the Waters of the U.S. proposal from EPA

Worked to support passage of the Grazing Improvement Act (HR 1435 and S 1479) and worked to include it as part of the National Defense Authorization Act (HR 3304) as it included provisions of the GIA which we supported such as moving public land grazing permits from 10 to 20 years and renewing permits without completion of a NEPA review.
