No Bill No.: Post-enactment implementation and rulemaking following the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (PL 112-141)including: railroad funding, regulation, and safety provisions; authorizations for national transportation grants, freight rail grants; Positive Train Control implementation deadlines, requirements, and federal rules. Implementation of FY 2016 Transportation Appropriations issues related to freight rail transportation, funding for the Federal Railroad Administration, US DOT, National Infrastructure Investment Grants, and Positive Train Control implementation, and the Short Line Safety Institute. Support for funding in FY2017 THUD Appropriation for rail safety, research, development and training (no bill numbers as of this writing). Opposition to the inclusion of increased truck weights in legislation (no bill numbers). Support for H.R. 721 and S. 637 - Short Line Railroad Rehabilitation and Investment Act of 2015 and the Building Rail Access for Customers and the Economy Act H.R. 4626 and S. 2595.
