Farm Bill of 2012 and FARRM Act of 2012. H.R. 6083 and S. 3240. Supported dairy reform terms establishing a voluntary dairy production margin protection program that includes a dairy market stabilization program when triggered. Also includes numerous other aspects of agriculture that affects dairy farmers. Opposed amendments and efforts to eliminate the dairy market stabilization program.

H.R. 5973 and S. 2375. Agriculture Appropriations for FY 2013. Supportive of provisions that are important to dairy farmers including funding of the Market Access Program, dairy indemnity, WIC, EQIP and other nutrition programs.
H.J. Res. 117, a Continuing Resolution to fund the Federal government through March 27, 2013.
We were opposed to the following amendments:
#1 to eliminate dairy research and promotion checkoff.
#2 to eliminate the Market Access Program (MAP).
#3 to eliminate Farm Bill payments to farmers AGI in excess of $250,000.
Supportive of H.R. 3062, Dairy Security Act of 2011 to establish a margin insurance program for dairy producers when the margin between milk prices and feed cost is less than a specific amount. Also establishes a dairy stabilization program and amends the current federal milk marketing orders. Also encourage the terms of H.R. 3062 to be included in the upcoming 2012 Farm Bill.

H.R. 2997 and S. 1729 Superfund Common Sense Act (an amendment) to provide that livestock manure is not considered a hazardous substance, pollutant or contaminant under the Superfund regulations.
H.R. 1633 and S. 1528 Farm Dust Regulation Prevention Act of 2011. A bill that amends the Clean Air Act to limit Federal regulation of nuisance dust and establish temporary prohibition related to revising coarse particulate matter regulations.
Supported adequate funding level for the Environmental Quality Incentive Program (EQIP) and continuation of 60% of funding level allocated to livestock and poultry farmers.
H.R. 872 Reducing Regulatory Burdens Act of 2011 including an amendment directing EPA to not require a permit for discharge of pesticides that are registered for sale, distribution or use.

Participated in meetings related to farm labor needs seeking help through federal programs and/or legislation. Supportive of S. 852 and H.R. 1720 - H-2A Improvement Act S. 852 and S. 1697 improves the H-2A agriculture program for use by dairy workers, sheepherders and goat herders for other purposes. Also supports S. 1258 Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act of 2011.

Trans-Pacific Partnership Free Trade Agreement (TPP) now being considered by President Obama's Administration. We are opposed to this agreement if New Zealand dairy products are included with free trade status.
Continued to oppose any legislative action that would prohibit or reduce funding of the Market Access Program (MAP), which serves as an important boost fo U.S. agriculture exports.
It is also imperative that sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) measures are adopted that ensure future U.S. dairy exports are not hampered by such non-tariff barriers.
