● Assist Client with efforts to improve provisions of the FISHES Act to streamline the federal fishery disaster processes; provide detailed review of several bills at Hill staff request including: MAPS Act; BREP Act, Trawl Clarity Act; Resilient Fish Act; and MRIP Reform bill; assist Hill staff with letter drafting; arrange for Client to discuss with Hill staff; provide Client with opportunity to sign national letter to Congress on anti-trawl legislation
● Continue to monitor developments related to potential vessel speed rules by NOAA for the protection of North Atlantic Right Whales
● Advise Client on NOAAs data confidentiality rulemaking; and on signing a national letter to Congress include seafood in the Farm bill
● Monitor and report to Client on NOAAs CCC meeting; monitor congressional hearings on ocean-related legislation and report to Client
