Discussions with HUD staff on the departments to direction and developments relating to homebuyer education as a element in the FHA 203 (b) program. Met with the acting deputy secretary of HUD and discussed the current single family market the impact of QM and what was needed to expand access. Also had meetings with financial services staff that included discussions concerning FHA, affiliate fees and GSE reform. Discussions with FHFA and the GSE's on a potential rent with an option to own and meeting with Congressman Takano on staff about an educational roundtable about rent with an option to own.

Discussions with treasury and other groups on next steps necessary to restore a affective private label mortgage securities market. There have been extensive discussions concerning GSE reform proposals particularly the Johnson Crapo amendment to S.1217 with industry participants and congressional staff. Discussion on issues and the agenda of FHFA. Discussions with CFPB staff on needed clarifications regarding qualified mortgages specifically changes to the affiliate title as it relates to the 3%.
