H.R. 6124, The Food, Conservation, and Energy Act of 2008, This bill provides for the continuation of agricultural and other programs of the Department of Agriculture through fiscal year 2012. Sent letters to the full Senate and House on key provisions in bill including the federal-state inspection program and the Nutrition title. The letter also expressed views on important provisions not found in bill including the meatpacking ban, food safety and staggered food stamp issuance.

H.R 5515, New Employee Verification Act of 2008, This bill amends the Social Security Act to prevent unauthorized earnings from being credited toward benefits under title II of such Act and to make improvements in provisions governing totalization agreements, to amend the Social Security Act and the Immigration and Nationality Act to prevent unauthorized employment, and to improve coordination of the provisions of such Acts.
