New Source Review: Support reforms to the New Source Review (NSR) air emissions permitting program to increase transparency and reduce barriers to expanding operations or initiating new facilities

Recycling: Support policies to promote curbside, municipal, and deposit return recycling programs. Support implementation of national recycling goals. Support recycling infrastructure investments.

National Ambient Air Quality Standards: Support revised SO2 NAAQS that better align the standard with human health risk. Support proposal to maintain existing PM NAAQS Levels. Support proposal to maintain existing Ozone NAAQS levels.

Carbon/Climate Policy: Support policies that use market-based mechanisms for carbon control and account for unique effects of carbon policies on EITE industries, such as primary and secondary aluminum production. Support nationwide conformity of climate policies. Encourage consideration of aluminum use phase benefits in legislative/regulatory carbon activity

Water Policy - Advocacy for aluminum water quality criteria updates, bioavailable aluminum testing methodologies, stormwater permit changes, revisions to jurisdictional waters definition, and development of nationwide fluoride water quality criteria

Industrial Emissions - Support launch of new program to develop and deploy technology that will reduce industrial emissions for EITE industries.

Section 232 Remedy Implementation & Exemptions: Advocate for process and policy changes to improve the Section 232 tariff exclusion process. Urge U.S. government to monitor trade flows and address unfair or illicit trade.

Section 301: Support Section 301 tariffs on imports of aluminum from China.

Import Monitor: Advocate for Commerce Department to establish a formal aluminum import monitoring program that serves the entire aluminum value chain, and for Congress to fund the program.

China Overcapacity: Encourage U.S. government to work with international partners and multilateral organizations to curb the policies and subsidies that lead to market-distorting overcapacity in China.

Trade Enforcement: Advocate for U.S. government to investigate and address evasion, circumvention and transshipment to ensure strong enforcement of trade rules and AD/CVD orders.
