S. 91: Indian Employment, Training and Related Services Consolidation Act of 2017.
S. 254: Esther Martinez Native American Language Preservation Act
S. 343: Repealing Existing Substandard Provisions Encouraging Conciliation with Tribes Act or the RESPECT Act, to repeal obsolete laws such as those that prohibit an Indian from arresting and detaining a white man, or threaten the loss of food assistance to a family that declines to send their children to an Indian boarding school.
S. 508: Western Oregon Tribal Fairness Act, a bill to authorize taking lands into trust for the benefit of the Cow Creek Umpqua, the Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua, and Siuslaw Indians and would specify that the Coquille Forest will be under the management of the Department of the Interior
S. 669: Columbia River In-Lieu and Treaty Fishing Access Sites Improvement Act
S. 747: Special Diabetes Program for Indians (SDPI) Reauthorization.
House Bills
H.R. 130: To amend the Act of June 18, 1934, to reaffirm the authority of the Secretary of the Interior to take land into trust for Indian tribes, and for other purposes.
H.R. 131: To reaffirm the trust status of land taken into trust by the United States pursuant to the Act of June 18, 1934, for the benefit of an Indian tribe that was federally recognized on the date that the land was taken into trust, and for other purposes.
H.R. 228: Indian Employment, Training and Related Services Consolidation Act of 2017
H.R. 292: Honor Our Trust Relationships Act (a bill to exempt Indian and Native Alaskan programs from sequestration.)
H.R. 984: Thomasina E. Jordan Indian Tribes of Virginia Federal Recognition Act of 2017, which would federally recognize 6 tribes in Virginia which have been in existence since before first contact with Europeans.
H.R. 1306: Western Oregon Tribal Fairness Act (same description as S. 508)
H.R. 1455: Clatsop-Nehalem Restoration Act, which would restore federal recognition of an Oregon tribe that was summarily terminated along with 100 other tribes in the 1950s.
H.R. 1491: Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Mission Indians, which would reaffirm the decision of Secretary of the Interior to take land into trust for the benefit of the tribe.
