FACTS, INC. support American citizen Heather Heyer who was murdered by a white supremacist. The House Bill version was introduced by Reps. Thomas Garrett, R-Va., and Gerald Connolly, D-Va., and co-sponsored by the other members of the Virginia House delegation. The Senate version was introduced by Virginia Democrats Mark Warner and Tim Kaine. The resolution passed both chambers without debate. All Information (Except Text) for H.J.Res.117 - Condemning the violence and domestic terrorist attack that took place during events between August 11 and August 12, 2017, in Charlottesville, Virginia, recognizing the first responders who lost their lives while monitoring the events, offering deepest condolences to the families and friends of those individuals who were killed and deepest sympathies and support to those individuals who were injured in the attack, expressing support for the Charlottesville community, rejecting White nationalists, White supremacists, the Ku Klux Klan, neo-Nazis, and other hate groups, and urging the President and the President's Cabinet to use all available resources to address the threats posed by those groups.
The neo-nazis and "alt-right" gathered to object to the removal of a statue of a treasonous Confederate. They came to Charlottesville out of hate, carrying torches, and terrorizing the community.
32-year-old Heather Heyer was there to oppose their bigotry, racism, and violence. She was there out of peace and love. And she was killed for it.
Instead of honoring with a statue a man who symbolizes the worst part of America, lets honor a young woman who represents the best part of America
Pettitions, Rallies to DC to urge the city of Charlottesville to replace the Robert E. Lee statue with a statue, plaque or monument of Heather Heyer. Let's honor this brave woman who gave her life defending justice.
